The Finnish Game Industry QA Meetup Group is a non-profit group whose goal is to improve understanding of what quality assurance (QA) does in the game industry as well as why it is done. 

Strengthening the QA community in Finland 

Although quality assurance is an important part of game development, events dedicated to it are still rare. The Finnish Game Industry QA Meetup Group was founded in August 2025 entirely for boosting appreciation of testing and quality assurance in the Finnish game industry, and to help create a strong game industry QA community in Finland.

QA Meetups are intended for everyone 

The organizing team of the QA Meetup Group arranges events at least four times a year. The first ever event was held on the 30th of September 2025. The goal of these events is to bring together people interested in QA within games to network and discuss in a relaxed environment, as well as to provide them with a high-quality talks from industry professionals. Each event always has a unique theme related to quality assurance. 

These events are free and open to anyone interested in QA in games, regardless of whether they work in QA or even in the games industry. They want to keep the events open to everyone because they believe that a multi-disciplinary, and multi-role, audience creates better discussions than if the events were exclusive to only game industry QA professionals. 

Upcoming events 

The next QA Meetup will be held on the 25th of March at the Rovio offices! The theme for the event is Automation in QA (mobile edition). 

"Since automation is such a large discipline by itself, we decided to split it into multiple different areas. For this event we have chosen "mobile" as the focus point." - Excerpt from the event page
